Just Day 10 of the 30:30 Challenge

What I Did Today

30-minutes on the glider and weight lifting:  kick-backs and frontward leg lift

Reflections

I've never physically fallen down after a workout until today.  My legs were like you have lunged your last lunge.  Now lie down here in the Johnson Center for all to see.  So, embarrassing!  My legs and I are no longer on talking terms.  We have decided to take a break from one another.  In other words I'm sitting and lying down for the rest of the night. lol

Just Day 5 of the 30:30 Challenge

What I Did Today

Today I stayed at home and did a 30-minute workout in my apartment.  I did some calisthenics, stretches, leg lifts, squats, crunches and I used my 10-lb. dumbbell.

Reflections

I had a busy day and couldn't get to the gym, so I did a simple 30-minute workout in my apartment.  Still got my heartbeat up and really felt the burn and the pull in my stretches.  I was still able to add some weight and use my 10-lb. dumbbell in my workout.

I'm really trying to make better eating choices and I really feel good and more healthier, after just 5 days.

Just Day 4 of the 30:30 Challenge

What I did today
I did 30-minutes of cardio today.

Reflections

Motivating myself to go and workout is getting a little bit easier, because I know what I want to achieve and it is possible for me to achieve what I want.

I want by the time I graduate and go back home to Indiana (unfortunately)...I want people to be like that's Carol Seiler?  I want to turn heads.  I want to be a bombshell.  I want to feel good in my own skin.  That's what I want!

I'm serious about this working out and getting in shape.  I really want to transform my body!!!

Here's to a happier and healthier me!!!

Just Day 3 of the 30:30 Challenge

What I did today

I started out doing 20 minutes on the glider, calf press and leg lifts.

Reflections

It was super crowded at the gym today.  I only did 20 minutes on the glider and then I was going to do some weight stuff with my legs and I did the calf press with 110 lbs. and I was going to do some other leg stuff, but all the other leg machines were taken, so I said to myself forget this crap!!!  So, I left the gym.

I made the one mile walk back to my apartment in light sprinkle rain, came home and did some leg lifts.

Hey, I got my 30-minutes in today, working out whether it was in or outside of the gym.

I'm feeling a lot better, but working up the gumption to get my ass in the gym is hard work. Uggghhh...

But after I work out I feel a whole lot better about myself.

Here's to day 3 and getting passed the hump day!!!  Gearing up for Day 4!!!  Hi-yo!!!

Just Day 2 of the 30:30 Challenge

I want this pillow for motivation!!!

What I did today

I started out doing 25 minutes on the glider, stretched, worked the abdominals--sit-ups with and without a medicine ball, arm incline press and arm row machine.

Reflections

I didn't workout till this evening, because I kept putting off working out.  I absolutely did not want to go to the gym today!  But I pushed myself to do it, because I told myself that I had to write for my blog today...so I went.

And I'm glad I did push myself to go to the gym because I feel a lot better and it gave me time to clear my head.

When I was on the glider I thought about what I wanted to achieve in this 30:30 Challenge and what I want to achieve overall.

I want to lose to 10 lbs. in this 30:30 Challenge.

Though my goals overall are to be in a size 7 jean, but eventually a size 5 jean and ultimately weigh about 112 lbs.  I realize I won't achieve these goals in 30-days, so I'll have to incorporate perhaps a round two of 30:30 Challenge in order to achieve these goals.

I just want to be a new, improved, better and healthier me by the time I graduate at the end of this semester.

Also when I was on the glider I thought about how I want improve appearence when I graduate.  I want to ultimately be in a size 5 jean, weigh about 112 lbs., dye my hair black and be tan.

When I graduate college and I go back home to Indiana (probably) I want people to be like..."WOW...that's Carol Seiler.  She's changed...a lot and she looks like a bombshell."

These goals make me want to keep working hard at working out and getting in shape.  Writing these blogposts help keep me motivate to workout to achieve my goals.

Just Day 1 of the 30:30 Challenge

What is the 30:30 Challenge?

-The 30:30 Challenge is working out 30 minutes everyday for the next 30 days.

I'm keeping a blog where I will write about my experience every day of working out and talk about the progress I have made.  My best friend is doing the 30:30 Challenge with me and keeping a blog, too.  Together we'll motivate each other to workout and get fit, while we live long distance from each other.

What I did today

Today, I worked out for 45 minutes total.  I started out doing 10 minutes on the stair master, 15 minutes weightlifting (leg press, leg curls and leg butterflies) and 20 minutes on the glider.

Reflections

It was a pain in the ass to get motivated, but once I started it wasn't too bad.  I feel so much better after working out.  I feel like this is the beginning of finally getting myself back into shape.

The Dreaded Weigh-In

132 lbs.

My Goal Weight

115 lbs.
